Warsaw Poland Tourist Places


Warsaw is known as Largest city of Poland 
 and it's also capital of Poland.

There are lots of good sites to see in Warsaw.

Warsaw was believed to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world until World War II.

Today i will tell you about 10 places where you should  really go even once. Check below-

Here are the Top 10 places -

1. Warsaw Old Town

The Old Town is a bustling tourism hub, with cobblestone alleys and medieval buildings reconstructed after WWII.

At its heart is Rynek Starego Miasta, a busy square lined with burgher houses and upscale Polish eateries.

Nearby, St. John's Archcathedral dates back to the 14th century and hosts summer concerts.

The area is also home to the restored apartments and manicured gardens of the Royal Castle.


2.  Royal Castle , Warsaw

The Royal Castle in Warsaw is a castle residency that formerly served throughout the centuries as the official residence of the Polish monarchs.

It is located in the Castle Square, at the entrance to the Warsaw Old Town.
 
The construction of the Castle in its current form began towards the end of the 16th century.

The main sights inside the Castle is -
  • The Ballroom (Assembly Room)
  • Throne Room
  • Marble Room
  • Canaletto Room
  •  knight's Room
  •  Senate Chamber
 Opening Hours-
  •  Tuesday-Saturday: 10am-4pm
  •  Sunday: 11am-4pm
  •  Monday: closed
Entrance Fee-
 
You can choose between two routes: 20 (12) PLN, reduced: 13 (6) PLN, free on Sundays.
Guides are available.

3. Wilanow Palace

Wilanów Palace or Wilanowski Palace is a royal palace located in the Wilanów district, Warsaw.

Wilanów Palace survived Poland's partitions and both World Wars, and so serves as a reminder of the culture.

  • Saturday      9:30AM-4PM
  • Sunday        9:30AM-4PM
  • Monday       9:30AM-4PM
  • Tuesday       Closed
  • Wednesday  9:30AM-4PM
  • Thursday     9:30AM-4PM

4. Copernicus Science Centre


Copernicus Science Centre is a science museum standing on the bank of the Vistula River in Warsaw, Poland.

5. Warsaw Uprising Museum



The Warsaw Uprising Museum, in the Wola district of Warsaw, Poland, is dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. The institution of the museum was established in 1983, but no construction work took place for many years.

6. Łazienki Palace 



The Łazienki Palace is a classicist palace in Warsaw's Royal Baths Park, the city's largest park, occupying over 76 hectares of the city center.

7. Sigismund's Column



Sigismund's Column, originally erected in 1644, is located in Castle Square, Warsaw, Poland and is one of Warsaw's most famous landmarks.

8. National Museum, Warsaw



The National Museum in Warsaw, popularly abbreviated as MNW, is a national museum in Warsaw, one of the largest museums in Poland and the largest in the capital.

9. POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews


POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is a museum on the site of the former Warsaw Ghetto. The Hebrew word Polin in the museum's name means, in English, either "Poland" or "rest here" and is related .

10. St. John's Archcathedral, Warsaw


St. John's Archcathedral in Warsaw is a Catholic church in Warsaw's Old Town. St. John's is one of three cathedrals in Warsaw, but the only one which is also an archcathedral. It is the mother church of the archdiocese of Warsaw.

    Excellent post! The top 10 tourist attractions in Warsaw that you shared in your blog actually nudged me to apply for a Visa to Poland from UK . I took some help from a consultancy as I want to get the visa soon and visit amazing places like Old Town, Lazienki Park, Wilanow Palace and all kinds of museums and castles.
